The 5k Nightglow race also set a record with 1400 participants. Last year's event was a huge success with attendance well over 50,000 for the four day event. June 26 and run through June 29 with a spectacular display of fireworks. The township is also accepting applications for booth rental, food vendors and participants who are interested in running the 5k "night glow.” The event will begin from 6 to 11 p.m. They also entered into an agreement with Bates Amusement, Inc., which will set up and run rides and accepted entertainment contracts for at least two bands. Jackson township trustees approved a liquor permit application, which will allow beer to be served at the event. Several donations have been made to the community celebration including $100 from the Paul & Carol David YMCA, $100 from Don Smith Auto Parts, Inc., $100 from Burnham & Flower Agency of Ohio, $500 from Canton/Stark County Convention & Visitors Bureau and $500 from Fallsway Equipment Company. The Jackson Township Community Celebration is scheduled June 26 through Jat the North Park. ![]()
